Words of Life

The proof for believing in God

God is the one and only God (Jn 17:3). He is the creator of heaven and earth and the source of all blessings (Gn 1:1; Rom 1:20). What is the evidence for believing in God?

God is the founder of religion and the author of the scriptures (i.e. the Bible). Christians must carry out their lives of faith based on the scriptures. Living people have neither been to heaven, nor have they seen God. We believe in both heaven and God, however, because of the scriptures and because of the spiritual path that has been passed down to us.

Faith

Those who believe in Jesus believes in God's word. Those who persecute others do so because spirits of persecution entered them. Those who speak the word of God do so because the spirit of the word—the spirit of God—entered them (Jn 3:31-34, Jn 14:23-24; 1 Jn 4:1-6).

Who married the demons of Babylon in Revelation 18?

Our main passage for today is Rv 18:23.

The marriage with Babylon’s demons in this passage is a spiritual marriage—a marriage of evil spirits and flesh.

Who are the sea captains, those who travel by ship, the sailors, and those who earn their living from the sea in Rv 18?

The main reference for today is Rv 18:17-19.

The sea, ships, sea captains, sailors, and passengers in Rv 18:17-19 are all used figuratively. The sea represents the world (Dn 7:2, 17), the ships represent the churches of the world (Gn 6-8; Is 51:5; Rv 8:9), and the sea captains represent the pastors of the world. The sailors are evangelists, the passengers are congregation members, and those who earn their living from the sea are church officials. All of these people have sold the goods of the spiritual nation of Babylon. In other words, they have used the doctrines of Babylon to evangelize others. These goods, which represent the doctrines and teachings of Babylon, will no longer be purchased after God judges Babylon and reveals her goods to be false.

Who are the merchants who weep and mourn in Revelation 18?

The main reference for today is Rv 18:10-15.

Those who weep and mourn in this passage are the kings and merchants of the earth (Rv 18:9-11).

What is the wealth of Babylon that made her people rich?

Our main reference today is Rv 18:2-3.

The wealth that made Babylon's people rich is mentioned in Rv 18:12-13. This wealth symbolizes Babylon's organization and doctrines. The kingdom of Babylon and all its goods are not literal; they are figurative. Anyone who interprets them literally belongs to the earth and speaks from the viewpoint of the earth. Those who belong to heaven, however, speak from the viewpoint of heaven.

What is the maddening wine of adultery and wrath that has made all nations fall?

The main reference for today is Rv 18:3.

The fallen nations represent the world’s churches, and the wine of adultery represents the doctrines of Satan. The wrath[1] refers to God’s anger. The wine is called the maddening wine and the wine of wrath to reveal that God is angry because Satan’s doctrines have caused all nations to fall.

Who are the called, chosen, and faithful followers who overcome mentioned in Rv 17:14?

The main reference for today is Rv 17:14.

Those who are called, chosen, and faithful in Rv 17:14 are the chosen people who were once captured by Babylon, the kingdom of demons (Rv 17 and Rv 18). They escape Babylon by hearing the voice of the Lamb. Revelation 18:4 states, “Come out of her, my people, so you will not take part in her sins and so you will not receive her plagues.” This is similar to what God did at the first coming when he came to Jesus according to prophecies. While God’s people were captured in Jerusalem and ruled over by the teachers of the law and the Pharisees (Mt 23:2), Jesus redeemed redeemed them and helped them escape (Mt 23:37).

Is Shinchonji Church of Jesus really a cult?

Shinchonji Church of Jesus is the only truly orthodox group in the world. Those who claim that Shinchonji Church of Jesus is a cult are actually heretics themselves like the people at the time of Jesus' first coming who called Jesus a heretic.

History and fulfillment

The Bible contains history, instructions, prophecies, and prophetic fulfillment.

The Bible also mentions different types of pastors and different denominations. General pastors teach history, which includes the fulfillment of old prophecies. Pastors of prophecy prophesy what they have seen and heard about the future. Promised pastors testify about what they have seen and heard regarding the fulfillment of prophecies.

Religion, pastors, and faith

Every time a generation became corrupt, God chose one person to prophesy about future events. Those chosen by God became his prophets; they spoke and wrote on God’s behalf. People believed in these prophets themselves, but they refused to believe in the words they wrote on behalf of God. Since a significant portion of God’s word is written in figurative language (Hos 12:10; Mt 13:10-11; Rv 5:1), no one can understand God's word until the scriptures are opened.

We ask the Christian Council of Korea

It was the pastors of that time who killed the prophets of the Old Testament (Mt 23:34-35; Acts 7:52). It was also the pastors and elders who killed Jesus and his disciples in the time of the New Testament (Mt 27:1-2; Mk 15:1-3). In other words, the people who murdered those sent by God were never nonbelievers.

The purpose of our lives of faith

The purpose of our lives of faith is the kingdom of heaven and eternal life. God reigns in the kingdom of heaven and is the only one who can give eternal life. True religion and the Bible leads to the kingdom of God and eternal life. God is the Lord of true religion and the kingdom of heaven. Eternal life is of God.

The true path and true teacher for our life of faith

What is the true path and who is the true teacher for our lives of faith? Although there is only one place of God, the Bible, and of hope, the world has splintered into thousands of paths. There are thousands of denominations and pastors in the world. of all these denominations, where should we go to find the true path? Of all these pastors, to whom should we go to find the true teacher? Whose command should we receive to build true faith? Even though people stagger from sea to sea and wander from north to east (Am 8:12), searching for the true path and the true pastor, they will not find them. The world is in darkness; it is formless and empty. No one knows God or his will as it is written in the Bible. If the Bible describes the one place God has appointed, shouldn’t all other places be considered false or arbitrary?

Sin and clothing

Countless people have come and gone from this world over the past 6,000 years of biblical history, and all of them have performed countless actions. Where have all their actions been recorded? Did God record every single move these countless people made while they were alive? Is it possible for God to judge their actions as right or wrong without some kind of record?

Prophecy and fulfillment

Ever since Adam betrayed God (Gn 3; Gn 6; Hos 6:7), God has tried in every generation to reestablish his kingdom (heaven) on earth. In the beginning of each generation, God selected a righteous person from the previous generation and appointed him as his new pastor. After appointing his chosen pastor, God always made a covenant with him so that the chosen pastor could carry out God’s work.

God made a promise with Abraham and fulfilled it through Moses four generations later (Gn 15; Ex 12). God made promises through the prophets of the Old Testament and later fulfilled them through Jesus (Is 46:10; Lk 24:44; Jn 19:30). The Law of Moses and the words of the prophets were in effect until John the Baptist (Lk 16:16), but the words of the New Testament have been in effect since Jesus’ time.

Contrasting Calvinism and the Church of Jesus

Which of these two churches is a cult? Which of them is carried along by the holy spirit and which by demons? The entire Bible acts as the standard that answers these questions (Jn 12:48; Rv 20:12).

Catholicism, which itself emerged from Judaism, long ago concluded that Calvin and his followers should be considered a cult (please refer to any encyclopedia). Why did the Catholics consider the Calvinists a cult?

Faith and actions

Today's main reference is Jas 2:26.

What should we believe and what actions should we have? Does a person have real faith just by claiming to believe in Jesus? Does a person have proper actions just by acting according to his or her own thoughts?

In fact, the Bible contains the promises we must believe and upon which we must act (Acts 2:14-26). The faith that was necessary at the time of the first coming was to see and believe that Jesus fulfilled the Old Testament. The faith necessary at the time of the second coming, therefore, is to see and believe in the fulfillment of the New Testament when it is fulfilled (Jn 14:29). What, then, are the actions we must have?

Having the eyes and heart to understand the Bible

Adam was created by God (Gn 1:26-27; Gn 2:7). Noah was chosen by God (Gn 6:8-9). Abraham was chosen by God (Gn 12:1). Moses was chosen by God (Ex 3:4-10). Jesus, too, was chosen by God (Lk 9:35).

Apostle John, a servant at the time the prophecies are fulfilled, has been chosen by Jesus (Rv 1:17). If he keeps the covenant and overcomes according to prophecy, Apostle John sits with Jesus on his throne (Rv 3:21). Apostle John also becomes the son who inherits everything (Rv 21:7).

Repentance and the true life of faith

Humanity has been under sin since the fall of Adam and Eve (Gn 3). This is why God sent us a savior (Jn 1:29; Jn 3:16-17).

At the time of the first coming, John the Baptist and our savior Jesus came to this sinful world as promised in the Bible. The first message they proclaimed was “Repent, the kingdom of heaven is near,” (Mt 3:1-2; Mt 4:17). Repentance is confessing your sins and asking for forgiveness. When they mentioned the kingdom of heaven, they were referring to the spirits in God’s kingdom.
