God had a plan for me all along
The following is another testimony posted on our one of our forums. It is re-posted here with permission of the author. May you be inspired by the way God worked in this person's life.
I became a Christian when I was in the seventh grade. Ever since, I have always been eager to learn more about God, Jesus, and the Bible. When I entered college, I had many questions about the Bible, but I wasn’t getting any answers. I would go to different churches, retreats, seminars, conferences, workshops, and pastors from various denominations. I would get different types of answers, opinions, interpretations, and guesses. It really frustrated me that I could not get a clear answer to any of my questions. I read in the Bible that the truth would set me free (Jn 8:32), but I did not feel free nor did I feel like I knew the truth. Towards the end of my college years, I began to doubt Christianity as a whole.
It was then that I started to study the Bible in a systematic and thorough manner in Seoul, Republic of Korea. The teacher explained the Bible in such a clear and simple manner. It shocked me at first that the Bible could be understood in such a simple way. It was as if someone had unlocked my mind and opened my eyes to finally understand the truth of God’s word.
Jesus said in Jn 14:29, “I have told you now before it happens so that when it does happen you will believe.” I knew in my head that God’s word is living and active, but it was through this study that I really believed that God’s word is living and active. God had prophesied through Jesus that a time would come when he would no longer speak figuratively but plainly about the Father (Jn 16:25). That time is now. God has revealed his word at the appointed time (Hab 2:2-3). He is carrying out his work of salvation even today.
I encourage all who are thirsty to come and listen. You will not regret it. You will come to know his word, know him more, and believe more deeply. Your faith will be built on a solid foundation, the rock, which is his living and enduring word. By knowing the only true God and Jesus Christ, you will be able to attain the hope of your faith, which is eternal life.
