Changing the world one heart at a time

God is working in me

This is a testimony of a member of Shinchonji Church of Jesus. I was inspired by how the Spirit is working through this person's life.

I've lived a life so convenient for myself that I was blinded. For 26 years, I blindly followed what was familiar to me and followed the traditions, and in the process became so set on my own way of thinking. To experience and hear something that I have never heard before, was unacceptable to my stubborn thinking. The more I tried to disprove the Word of God with my own logic and my own thinking, the more God revealed to me through His word, that it is not of this physical world that I can explain this but it is that of God, of the spiritual world.

I grew up learning that the unexplainable things of the Bible were scary, something that can not be understood. But I started to ask myself that if I was not supposed to understand a part of the Bible that God wrote and gave to His people, then why did God even write these things in the first place? I then started to ask myself, if I can't understand the Bible, who can I get the answers to my questions? I would ask different pastors and they would all give me different answers based on what they were "convicted" of. But if they were convicted by God, shouldn't they have the same answer to the same question? What is their reference to confirm! what they say is true?

My testimony is not to tell you that you should believe, just for the sake of believing in something "new". It is to tell all of you that faith is believing the unbelievable, not the unknown. Faith is believing that God keeps all of His promises and believing in these promises when it happens. It is believing that God sent Jesus. It is believing the words that Jesus spoke. It is believing that Jesus will return. It is believing the one who receives the book of Revelation mentioned in Rev 10. It is believing every part of the Bible, not just parts of it. If we are to be faithful, shouldn't we know the Bible? Shouldn't we understand what we are believing?

I am so thankful that God has led me back to Him. I have seen and heard what was promised in the Bible being fulfilled today. It is a time to rejoice and have faith. To actually see and hear the one that is promised in Rev 10 is exciting and encouraging because I am able to see first hand the work of God. For the first time in my life, all my questions are answered and I have no doubt in my mind. As Christians, we should have faith in God's words and always refer to our only source of Truth which is the Word of God. Let's not be like the Pharisees and the Sadducees where they knew the Bible like the backs of their hands and did not understand, but let us be a people that understand our Father. First, by learning and understanding, then believing what is being revealed.

I hope that whoever reads this is encouraged to know that God is working. That God is on our side.
