This is a testimony of a member of SCJ.

Throughout my life I never knew the importance or paid any attention to the word of God let alone the word I was learning. I assumed that if I only confess with my mouth and believe in my heart that Jesus and God are real I would be saved (Rom 10:9). Furthermore, the lack of knowledge in God's word gave me a type of self- gratifying faith in God which ultimately led me to believe in my own human understandings.

With these human thoughts and misunderstandings of God's word, all I can see myself doing is trying to please God with my lips. I thought going to church, praying, lifting my hand in praise, and serving in the church was enough for me to enter the Kingdom of Heaven. But even at the time of the 1st coming, the chosen people (Physical Israelites) did not recognize Christ because of their lack of knowledge (Hos 4:6) and their misunderstanding of God's word (Hos 6:6). Since there were so many things in the word of God that I didn't understand, this ultimately led me to believe that the significance of understanding God's word was irrelevant and secondary.

With a heart of repentance and an open heart learning the word of God from Shinchonji helped me to realize the magnitude of the 1st coming events starting from the fulfillment of the prophecies. Now knowing that Jesus is the one who reveals himself and God to whom he chooses (Matt 11:27), one individual who was to receive the revealed word of God of Rev 10 was to explain even the deep things in the word (1 Cor 2:9). Furthermore, this was to give the believers faith from hearing this revealed message (Rom 10:17) and the faith of certainty knowing the actual events of revelation took place (Jn 14:29).

The fulfillment of the New Testament is here today and is found to be evident through the living word of God. I really pray that all nations will be able to hear and see these fulfillments just as I have so the Kingdom of God can come as the New Heaven and New Earth.
