The pride of those who belong to Shinchonji

Believers who have been sealed by the word of God in Shinchonji (SCJ) are proud of their faith and of the fact that they have mastered the Bible, which no one in the world to this point had been able to understand.

Shinchonji, which sealed and approved by the seal of God, is like the world of Noah established after the judgment of Adam’s corrupt generation. SCJ is also like the world of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, that is, the world of Moses that was established after the judgment of Canaan, which represented the fallen world of Noah. Furthermore, SCJ is like the world of Spiritual Israel, which is the world of Jesus and the 12 disciples that was established after the law, the prophets, and the prophecies of Physical Israel came to an end. SCJ has been established as the 12 tribes of New Spiritual Israel today.

Our sins have been redeemed and we have become God's people by receiving God’s seal. This process of being sealed is the process of putting God's laws (i.e. his word) in our minds and engraving them on our hearts in fulfillment of the new covenant. God has become the God of SCJ because we are keeping the new covenant (Heb 8:7-13). Those who tell lies to harm God's creation or interfere with the work of SCJ will be judged by God. They will be thrown into the fiery lake of burning sulfur (Rev 21:8).

The fruits of the spirit are love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control, but we must also have faith in the truth of the word of promise. If we claim to live by the spirit, let us also behave according to the fruits of the spirit (Gal 5:22-26).

 The faith of SCJ people

SCJ people believe the words of the covenant Jesus promised in the New Testament. That is, we believe that one generation (the generation of the first heaven, which lasted 2,000 years) has ceased to exist (Rev 6). We believe that God's kingdom and priests have been created by being purchased with Jesus' blood (Rev 5:9-10). We believe that the great multitude dressed in white robes – those who have washed away their sins with the blood (Rev 7:1-14) – have been created. Together, the priests of God and the great multitude in white make up the generation of the new heaven. The people of SCJ are the firstfruits who have been harvested according to Rev 5, Rev 7, and Rev 14. They are the fruits of the tree of life that bears 12 kinds of fruit every month and they are the ones born of the word of truth (James 1:18). The tree of life that bears 12 kinds of fruit represents the 12 tribes that have been newly created in this generation (Rev 22:1-5). The Egyptians in Moses' time did not believe the word of God as it was proclaimed through Moses, but the Israelites, who were the descendants of Abraham, did believe. Today, in the same way, those born of God's seed will surely believe God's promise – the word of the New Testament.

How does the cross of Jesus relate to me?

“I have been crucified with Christ, and it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me. So the life I now live in the body, I live because of the faithfulness of the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me,” (Gal 2:20).

People's hearts are symbolized by fields into which the seed of God's word can be sown (1 Cor 3:9) and to houses (temples) in which God can dwell (1 Cor 3:16-17). God, who is light and life, left humanity because of sin (Gen 6). In spite of their sins, however, God has always desired to dwell amongst his creations (1Co 15:28). To rid his people of their sins, God sent Jesus to bear the cross on peoples’ behalf. As a result of Jesus’ atoning sacrifice, we, who were once hostile to God have been reunited with God in love. We know this to be true because the holy spirit was able to descend upon people only after Jesus bore the cross to rid them of their sins (Jn 7:37-39, Jn 20:22-23; Acts 1:4-8, 2:1-4).

Ever since Jesus bore the cross, God and Jesus have dwelt within people whose sins have been redeemed by believing in the atoning blood of the cross (Rom 8:9-11; Gal 4:6; Jn 14:20; Rev 3:20). Just as God dwelt within Jesus because he was without sin, at the time of Revelation’s fulfillment (Rev 5:9-10, Rev 7), God dwells within those who truly believe in Jesus. At this time, just as it was during the first coming, those controlled by the evil spirits persecute people who are with Christ. This happens because the two groups of people are controlled by different spirits and have different doctrines. Those who belong to God speak the words of God, but those who belong to the world speak their own thoughts and the thoughts of the world (1 Jn 4:5-6). Anyone who lacks the spirit of Christ is controlled by the evil spirits who love to persecute. This is why they persecute people who belong to Christ and who have his spirit (Rom 8:9).

The congregation members of SCJ are confident in their faith for several reasons. Not only have we mastered the Bible (1 Cor 2:10), we also belong to the 12 tribes promised in the New Testament (Rev 7). We remain in Jesus after being redeemed from sin (Rev 5:9-10, Rev 7:13-15) and we consider it pure joy that Jesus dwells within us (Jn 14:20; 1 Jn 1:4). In the Bible, the wicked, who lacked scriptural knowledge, persecuted the prophets of old according to their traditions. In the same way, the wicked of today have been persecuting SCJ. Despite this persecution, the people of SCJ rejoice all the more because of the words recorded in Matt 5:11-12. The people of SCJ – the people of God's newly created – are praying ceaselessly that the teachings (the way) of the cross, which is our salvation and something for which we have ample reason to be proud, will reach all the people of the world.
