The proof for believing in God
God is the one and only God (Jn 17:3). He is the creator of heaven and earth and the source of all blessings (Gn 1:1; Rom 1:20). What is the evidence for believing in God?
God is the founder of religion and the author of the scriptures (i.e. the Bible). Christians must carry out their lives of faith based on the scriptures. Living people have neither been to heaven, nor have they seen God. We believe in both heaven and God, however, because of the scriptures and because of the spiritual path that has been passed down to us.
What acts as evidence to prove a person believes in God? What do we need for God to acknowledge our faith?
Since we cannot see him, believing in God’s word is the same as believing in God (Rom 10:17; Heb 11:1). Faith in God’s word, therefore, provides evidence that a person believes in God. John 1:1 says, “In the beginning was the word, and the word was with God, and the word was fully God.” Wherever the word is, there is God; wherever God is, there is the word. Thus, believing in God’s word is the same as believing in God.
Since the word is life and light, people with the word become light and possess life (Jn 1:1-4, Jn 8:12). The word is also symbolized by the seed of God. Hence, a person born of God’s seed is God’s son (Mt 13:37-38; Jas 1:18; 1 Jn 3:9) and can be created in God’s image and likeness. People without the word, however, do not have God, light, or life. Without being born of God’s seed, they cannot be created into God’s image or likeness.
Jesus was the son of God and he was the true light and life. He was also the word created in God’s image and likeness (1 Jn 1:1-3) because he was born of God’s seed. If we, like Jesus, also receive and are born of God’s seed, we will become like Jesus. This is, in fact, God’s will.
The type of faith God acknowledges is faith in the words God promised. When the fulfillment appears according to the words of promise, the faith of people who believe in that fulfillment proves that they really believe in God.
Just because a person claims to believe in God with his lips, attends church, makes monetary offerings, does volunteer service, and serves his pastor does not mean that he is acknowledged by God as a true believer. People who are zealous without knowing God’s will or the true meaning of righteousness are simply trying to lift themselves up above others (Rom 10:2-3). More than offering money or giving worship, God wants us to truly know him (Hos 6:6). We prove we believe in God by knowing God and by believing in and obeying his promises (Rv 1:2-3).
If we were to give a group of Christians 100 or even 1,000 questions from the New Testament, how many people could answer just one question properly? It wouldn’t surprise me if none of them could answer those questions properly. If this is the case, is it right for these people to claim that they are orthodox or that they have already received salvation and the holy spirit? The Bible says, “Now this is eternal life—that they know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you sent,” (Jn 17:3). The Bible also says, “For the spirit searches all things, even the deep things of God,” (1 Cor 2:10).
We must be honest before others and even more honest before God. Our yes should be yes and our no should be no. We should claim to know only what we really know and admit that we do not know what we do not know. It is only when we earnestly pray to God—when seek to know him and his will—that God will reveal himself to us.
Today is the same as the times of Noah and of Jesus’ first coming (Mt 24:37-39; Rv 11:8). The kingdom of heaven is indeed near. Everyone must repent. The words of the promises in the New Testament are being fulfilled. Believing in the words of the promises is believing in Jesus. No one can attain salvation unless they know the words of the promises and their physical fulfillment.
All the wealth, fame, and power in the world are nothing but empty dreams. They are not eternal life. We will become believers whom the Lord acknowledges when we seek eternal life and when we understand and obey the Lord’s will.

through visiable things, our
through visiable things, our father has shown us the place where he is. I have found him in the bible. Through the bible i am able to feel and touch him everyday. that is a wonderful thing.thanks
i hope this continues for the rest of my life.
AMEN! Beyond anything else,
AMEN! Beyond anything else, God wants us to know Him through His word. I used to think before serving and worship were avenues to knowing God. But, truly, in the beginning was the Word and the Word was with God and the Word was God. His whole heart is in His Scriptures!
I thank God to know that
I thank God to know that salvation or eternal life can't be acheieved by lip service.
The Bible proves we can get it by knowing, believing and doing the promises that God and Jesus gave us.
We at Shinchonji have truly
We at Shinchonji have truly mastered the Bible, surpassing all the knowledge of those who graduated from seminary school and beyond. Therefore, our faith in God is complete, because of the concrete evidence shown through His perfect word and the fulfillment that is happening right before our eyes. Faith is not blind, but it is knowing the promises of God that is true faith. Praise God that we can be living in this time and participate in completing His work!! :)
AMEN~^^

If we want to show God and
If we want to show God and Jesus we love them, we must obey what God and Jesus command. (Jn. 14:15) It's very logical that we must first clearly know, understand, and believe His word in order for us to know what to obey. Those who draw near to worship with empty words are only offering lip service to God without truly knowing God's heart, purpose and will. (Isaiah 29:13)
Because God Himself swore that all that He has planned and purposed will be and stand, we can have faith that God will fulfill everything according to the Bible. (Isaiah 14:24).
We at Shinchonji testify God's heart and believe in the fulfillment of God's promises.
I hope and pray for peoples of all nations to really correctly know Shinchonji and come to the place where all nations will come to worship.
AMEN!~
AMEN!~
This is so true! So often in
This is so true! So often in my walk in faith as a Christian, I always thought that I didn't have to know God's word. I thought the more I knew God's word, the more self-righteous I would become... like that of the Pharisees & Sadducees.
God has truly helped me to perceive that NOT knowing God's word is truly self-righteousness! I had to repent for making myself "higher" without truly knowing God and His word, but thinking that just "serving" or having just "faith" without the proper knowledge was enough...
I am so thankful that God didn't just leave us empty promises, but promised us a fulfillment to come. Thank you God for sending your promised pastor in this generation to give us the revealed word!!
I do agree that the Word is a
I do agree that the Word is a way to know God, but aren't there other ways in knowing who He is? For instance, worship, prayer, through the experiences we have and through the fellowship of other believers? All together these things help us know God??
Hi Freedom_believer! You
Hi Freedom_believer!
You know, I just to think that too. In Hosea 6:6, God says He desires mercy, not sacrifice, and acknowledgment of God rather than burnt offerings. So, most importantly, God desires us to acknowledge Him. Know Him. And what's the surest way? John 1:1 - In the beginning was the Word and the Word was with God and the Word was God. Because God is His Word, to draw closer to His Word is to draw closer to God. The Bible truly does contain God's heart in it. I myself was so amazed and surprised to see how real His heart was shown through understanding of His scripture. If you thirst to know His purpose, He will reveal it to you through His Word.
Finally, we are able to walk
Finally, we are able to walk on the path of a true faithwalk! praise God that this path has been revealed to us. i hope that we can all be true believers that God will acknowledge by believing in the word and only his word. finally we know what it truly means to be like Christ and now it is possible for us to become like christ through this word. Amen!
Wow, I have never seen it
Wow, I have never seen it laid out like that. Every single argument is really backed up by the Word..
When the teachers of the law
When the teachers of the law tested Jesus, he fought back using the word to defeat them in their deceptive attempts. In Mat 4, Jesus was lead to the desert to be tempted, how did he fight? Using the word and backing up everything said. This is a son of God. If God is the word (Jn 1) then the son must also be the word (Jn 1:14).
Therefore through Christ we must become born of God recieving his seed which is his word (Luke 8:11). If we recieve his word and everything is revealed to us by his spirit (1 cor 2:10), we should also be able to fight and understand the scriptures that have been hidden since the creation of the world (Mat 13:11).
"It is only when we earnestly
"It is only when we earnestly pray to God - when we seek to know him and his will - that God will reveal himself to us."Truly, because these words are so clear and open and it is according to scripture, God must truly truly be here with the people and nation of Shinchonji! I hope everyone will consider these words deeply, knowing and seeing it as truth, and that everyone will pray earnestly to God to seek to know him, his will, and his Word. For as it says here, we can only receive eternal life if we know the TRUE GOD. Let us become people whom the Lord acknowledges - true believers who rather than come close to God with our lips, let us draw absolutely close to him with our whole heart, our whole mind, and our whole spirit.
